We started Lemmo in Berlin with a simple frustration: e-bikes were getting heavier, more complicated, and more disposable — exactly the opposite of what cities need. So we asked a different question: what if one bike could be two bikes? A light, beautiful bicycle when you want to ride “pure”… and a powerful e-bike when you want effortless support.

The Lemmo story

Our breakthrough was building modularity into the heart of the product, not as an accessory.

Dual Mode means you can switch between electric and non-electric riding without compromise. Flip the clutch, and the motor fully disengages — no drag, no resistance — so it rides like a real bike.

Then we made the electric system removable. The Smartpac is our power hub: battery + controller + connectivity in one unit you can detach and carry. Charge it at home, bring it inside, top up your laptop at a café, or leave it behind when you want the lightest ride. The result is simple: the bike can last like a bicycle should — while the tech can evolve without forcing you to replace the whole frame.
